Welcome Baby!

I've made some minor changes to the look of the blog - the colour scheme,  the size of the area that I can type in - this will allow me to have bigger photos - yay! And I've increased the font slightly, to make it easy to read. I've also put the "follow" gadget at the top - easy for readers to find and to remind me how many of you there are (I so appreciate all of you for following me!!)

Today is another day to combine two challenges:

Freshly Made Sketch 33:

And the Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge: (I used Going Gray, Pretty in Pink and Soft Sky)

I used Waltzingmouse background and baby stamps and added some stars and stickles for good measure!

PS - this is my last 'Going Gray' cardbase - discontinued Stampin' Up! colour - sniff, sniff! Looking for a good light grey - any suggestions?

  1. Such a lovely baby card! Great use of the colours, they have me a bit stumped, so I'm doubly impressed by your use of them! I'll have to pop back to see if anyone gives you some good "grey" recommendations. I'm looking for good greys at the moment, too.

  4. Gorgeous card! Try Kaisercraft - they have cheap card in a few shades of grey - like bazill, but not as thick.

  5. This is an absolutely stunning card Ardyth! I must admit I was very sad about the demise of Going Gray too.

  6. Gorgeous! Love how you used the stars for the circular element!
Really wish Stampin' Up would stop retiring colours. :(

  7. I love your card Ardyth ... the colours, the plaid and stars ... and it's flat - yet it packs a mighty punch! Love it!!!!

  9. Ardyth, I'm impressed with your hand-stamped background! The shimmer on those stars adds such a sweet touch.

I still have some Going Gray cardstock, and use it so sparingly. If you ever find a good replacement, let me know! LOL

Thanks a bunch for joining us at The Play Date Cafe this week!
(and thanks for leaving love at my blog, too - you are so sweet!)

  10. Perfect timing......I needed inspiration for a baby card. Yours is just perfect.

I've been at least a year looking for good gray card stock. I've got lots of labeled samples but all are way too light or way too dark or too blueish or too greenish. Seems like it shouldn't be so hard to find.
